10月9日-10日，应用外语学院迎来了2020级的新生们。迎新当天，学校校长卢坤建、党委副书记朱其祥到新生宿舍和迎新工作现场，与新生及家长亲切交谈，了解迎新工作进展情况。外语学院领导班子、教研室主任、辅导员和班主任们也都深入迎新一线检查迎新工作，对工作人员表示关心与问候。迎新工作有条不紊的进行。
On October 9 -10, the School of Applied Foreign Languages welcomed the freshmen of Grade 2020. On the day of orientation, Lu Kunjian, the principal of the college,and Zhu Qixiang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, went to the dormitories of freshmen and the orientation work site to have a cordial conversation with freshmen and their parents to learn about the progress of orientation work. The leaders, teaching and research section directors, counselors and class teachers of School of Applied Foreign Languages also went deep into the front-line inspection and orientation work, and expressed their concern and greetings to the staff. The orientation work was carried out in an orderly manner.
