7月22日，全国MET英语口语网络竞赛·2020年夏季赛落下帷幕。本次比赛由中国对外贸易经济合作企业协会商务英语专业工作委员会主办，广东粤图之星科技有限公司承办。全国本、专科院校共计6626名学子参与本次竞赛,仅有246名选手获奖，应用外语学院共有4名选手获奖。应英191班汪燕、丁格云，tafe191班谭瑞花，商英195班刘志岚同学获全国优秀奖。我校获奖最多，并同时获第一优秀组织单位奖。
On July 22nd, the national MET oral English online competition 2020 Summer Competition came to an end. This competition is sponsored by Business English Professional Working Committee of China Association of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Enterprises and undertaken by Guangdong Yuetu Star Technology Co., Ltd.. A total of 6,626 students from colleges and universities across the country participated in the competition, and only 246 contestants won the prize, while 4 contestants from the School of Applied Foreign Languages won the prize. Wang Yan and Ding Geyun of AE(applied English)Class 191, Tan Ruihua of TAFE Class 191 and Liu Zhilan of BE(business English)Class 195 won the National Excellence Award. Our school won the most awards and won the first outstanding organizational unit award at the same time.
据了解，全国MET英语口语网络竞赛以国际商务交流为竞赛语境，采取“模仿跟读”和“考试检测”两种模式，由“MET全民英语”智能语音分析技术自动评分。一共设置初阶、中阶、高阶三个赛段，分阶条件解锁机制，每位选手每个赛段可以有10次重复挑战机会，系统将以选手最佳成绩记录，竞赛总成绩为三个赛段分数总和。共产生特等奖1名，一等奖5名，二等奖10名，三等奖30名，优秀奖200名。（文/应用外语学院）
It is understood that the national MET oral English online competition takes international business communication as the competition context, adopts two modes of "imitation and reading" and "examination testing ", and is automatically scored by the intelligent speech (voice)analysis technology of "MET English for All". A total of three stages are set up, namely, the initial stage, the intermediate stage and the high stage, with a hierarchical conditional unlocking mechanism. Each player can have 10 repeated challenges in each stage, and the system will record the player's best scores, with the total competition score being the sum of the scores of the three stages.
